MaskGenie – May 2015 Mask [Beauty Subscription] Pouch

I may have found the best subscription program to date. I was scrolling through Instagram on day and came across MaskGenie. If you love, no are obsessed with sheet masks then you will love this monthly program.

The rundown –  a monthly face mask subscription program based in Hong Kong. There is no membership/registration for this service. It is pay as go – each month you purchase that month’s pouch – meaning no auto billing as with other beauty subscription programs. Announcements on when pouches are available are made via MaskGenie’s Instagram and Facebook accounts. The owner Genie also does ‘Unpouchings’ and other reviews on her YouTube channel. She gives an overview of each masks, her experience (if she’s used it before), as well as tips. Another aspect of this service that I like is that she uses and provides indepth reviews the masks too. Not necessarily all the one featured each month but those that may have been previously included or to be in future

You can opt to receive either a 10 mask or 5 mask pouch for $22 or $12 respectively. Payment is via PayPal which I love and the price includes international shipping, which is always a plus. Once in awhile MaskGenie curates limited edition – themed pouches of varying prices that are quite popular and sell out quickly. Recently MaskGenie has added Weekend Pouches that go for $17 for 6-10 masks and are only available on the weekends.

Scentbird – a new fragrance subscription program

I came across a new subscription program a little over a week ago and I could not be more excited. Why? This new program solely focuses on fragrances. If you’ve followed my blog over the years or me on Instagram/Pinterest you know I am OBSESSED with perfume!!!!!! You can see a snap shot of my current collection here. I believe one can never have too many fragrances and I live by the motto “Each day is a new chance to smell fabulous

Anyway the actual point of this post is to share a new fragrance sampling program that comes to us courtesy of Scentbird. This new service is the brain child of 4 young, innovative entrepreneurs a team spearheaded by Mariya Nurislamova.

So what exactly peaked my interest apart from the fact that it is all about perfume  (my thoughts are in pink).

1.  Queue from a selection of 300+ designer perfumes and monthly new arrivals – the possibilities are endless.

2.  Receive a 30-day supply of the fragrance of your choice every month – way better than those little sample vials that by two spritzes their finished. So this is a pretty decent size roughly 8 mls, if I’m not mistaken.

3. Update your perfume wardrobe monthly or stick to an old favorite – explore something new each month.

4. A luxury perfume case with your first order – I’ll have to wait on my first order to come to see (I’ll let you know).

5.  No hidden fees, shipping included with the price of membership – there is a flat $14.95  monthly subscription fee that includes S&H enough said.

Below is my ‘Perfume Try List’ and I’ll start this month with Moschino’s Cheap & Chic. I am a huge fan of their I Love Love. next up in November will be Opium – I have wanted to try this for the past 8 years I kid you not.

My only pet-peeve so far is that I keep seeing the same scents in my account. I think once the scent profile was complete and the recommendations made that’s it, you are restricted to those scents. I would like to be able to access and at least be able to explore the 300+ fragrances they offer instead of the same 30 and to be able to change my profile based on season or mood. Just a thought. I feel if this and some other little glitches (at least to me) are addressed navigating the website will be more pleasurable and may border on addicting.

This is not a sponsored post and the above image is a screen shot of my personal Scentbird account page.

Love VoxBox Review – Gillette Venus & Olay Razor

Gillette Venus and Olay have teamed up up to create a superb 5 blade razor with moisture bars. Apart from being a good razor I was mostly love the bars, no the scent of the bars. They lather very well and obviously you do not need to use shaving cream with this razor. I use this on a weekly basis, I just love the bars and of course the clean shave.
Let me just say I hope they have a whole bath and body line inspired by the scent infused into the moisture bars. It is a mix of milk, honey and vanilla, and is truly a heavenly scent.
Can be purchased online from any general retailer e.g. Target, CVS, Walgreens, grocery stores etc. as well as in store and typically retails for $8.99 – $10.99 (for a refillable razor with one cartridge) and between $14.99 – $19.49 for three replacement cartridges.
Very easy to assemble and you can purchase the cartridges as the handle is reusable.

Love VoxBox Review – Truvia Natural Sweetner

Truvia is a natural calorie free sweetener made from the leaf of the Stevia plant and is now found in a multitude of food products. It is sold in small packets, and in bulk and can be used to sweeten beverages and baked goods. I prefer a natural sweetener over the artificial ones that tend to leave a metallic taste in my mouth after consuming a product that contains then. I get no such taste with Truvia.

Love VoxBox Review – Kiss Nail Dress Nail Stickers

The kit includes nail stickers for both finger and toe nails and a small nail file. I got the Leopard print, I love this pattern. I only used the stickers for the fingers.

Claims to last for up to 10 days and I think it would have if I didn’t take it off after 6 days. Only because I wanted to change my nail color. I love the ease in application although I had a bit of trouble filing off the edges smoothly. They fit perfectly and the only problem I had when I found the sticker to match a nail was that sometimes I had to kind of stretch it to fit the nail bed.
Apart from that I was very pleased and have now added nail stickers to my nail collection. I’ll purchase when they so on sale and I hope I can get some coupons too because I love these. I’ve even got my sisters obsessing over these 🙂 Retails for $6.99 – $7.99 at beauty retailers nationwide.

I had posted a pic on twitter either a week or two ago.

Love VoxBox Review – Stash Tea Sampler

Stash Herbal Tea Sampler contained 2 packets of 9 flavors. It was a mix of fruity flavors as well as the traditional tea ones such as peppermint and chamomile.
A great sample selection and can be found at any grocer, is usually on sale and coupons are also available in the Sunday paper.

These three were my favorite they made great pitchers of iced tea. You can visit the Stash Tea Influenster product page here.

The Stash tea was provided by Influenster for personal use and review. I was no compensated for my opinion.
