Here is the first DIY of the New Year. In the continued effort to de-clutter I decided to finally depot all my Wet N’ Wild shadows. I only kept two of the more neutral palettes that I usually carry in my makeup bag and depotted the rest. I also depotted a few single ELF and NYX shadows. The easiest ones to depot (with zero casualties) were the NYX. Most of the WnW came out undamaged but I found if heated too much especially the mattes they will over bake and crack. I was able to get all these done with one tea light. I tried to depot the NYX 10 pan palettes but that did not go very well. Tools– empty 15 pan palette (with insert removed); tea light; paper towels and makeup remover for clean up (water does not work very well); razor blade (single edge is the best, a knife or push pin are not as versatile).
I don’t know why but I’m not such a big fan of NYX glosses and only have had these 3 for the last 2 years. I haven’t used them a lot, so I’ve put them on my list of products to use up by the end of the year. My project 10 pan has way more than 10 products. I have so many things especially lip glosses, deluxe samples etc that I really want to use up.
I didn’t realize that I had so many NYX Jumbo Pencils – 16 in all. I think I’ve used each at least once with Milk being the most used. However I’m not sure if I need these anymore, I’m going to try to use them on a daily basis by summer. If I fail I think I’ll pass them on to someone or maybe I’ll have a blog sale.

The kinks of last month are slowly being worked out at MyGlam. This month I’m pleased with the shipping – although my bag shipped on the 15th and I had to contact them to get the tracking info. Despite this it took only 4 days to get to me and their customer service was much better and more helpful than in January. I really like this service and the whole presentation/packaging etc. Getting a little makeup bag every month is a genius idea, no more boxes to contend with especially when you can’t use them all up.
February’s Glam Bag
Top- one swipe Bottom- four swipes. The only down side to this is the staying power after 10 minutes both swipes were still ‘wet’ and the color (steel blue and gunmetal grey mix) is very pigmented and glitter (very fine mostly silver glitter) got everywhere. Overall I’m not sure if I would wear this, I’m not sure yet but I will test the stay and wear of this shadow.
All the neutral/nude palettes I have (I may have missed a few) and this does not include any single shadows.
The original NAKED palette
NYX Nude on Nude palette
NYX Bohemian Rhapsody and Champagne & Caviar palettes (Runway Collection)
Top to bottom: Stila Garden Bliss & AVON Neutral Tones palettes
L’Oreal Landscape and The Body Shop Chocolate shimmer cube palettes
Wet n Wild Comfort Zone (1st column), Golden Goddess, I <3 Matte (2nd column), Vanity and Walking on Eggshells palettes.
Coastal Scents 88 Warm and 28 Neutral palettes.
Now I know I don’t need anymore nudes or neutrals but everyday there is a new one tempting me, luring me to buy it. I’m pretty sure amongst the individual 221 pans here I can dupe the NAKED 2, all the Balm neutral palettes, the newest ones from Bobbi Brown, Lorac, Dior, Lancome, Guerlain and every other brand. God forbid a NAKED 3 should come out.
Would you agree? or do you think you could never have enough nudes?
