Sheet Masks Part I

My love for sheet masks continue. You can see my constant sheet mask posts on my Instagram @beausci2010

I have found a few new sheet mask online retailers and purchased masks from a few new brands. Of the masks in this post my favorite brands are the My Beauty Diary (Taiwanese), Maskingdom (Taiwanese), Freeset Doneky Milk (Korean) and Love More (Taiwanese).

Sheet Masks on the Go – Work Trip Skincare

Whenever I travel for work, I always bring a sufficient number of sheet masks with me. For this particular 5 day work trip  I brought along 17 sheet masks and 2 tube masks (1 glycolic acid and 1 mud). The joys of checked luggage – it allows you to pack whatever you want. I used a few and some I left as a small thank you gift (tied with a bow) for the cleaning lady.

Sheet masks are a great way to take of and treat your skin while away especially after a plane ride. The air in the airport and plane usually dries out my skin, so as soon as I check into and get settled in my room, I cleanse, detoxify and mask. Masks specific for restore moisture and boosting hydration are the best after a flight e.g mask with green tea, bamboo, honey, aloe and hyaluronic acid. As the trip progresses with long days, I usually use masks that detoxifies  (mud & sheet masks with charcoal), brightens (pearl and rice) and repairs/treats (snail and tea tree).

Weekly use of mud-masks will diminish and heal the most common skin issues over time including blemishes, acne, pimples, blackheads, eczema and psoriasis. This mask can be used as a full facial mask, a spot treatment or full body mask.
I typically apply masks to my face vs my face and neck. Overall, I enjoyed this mask although I was a bit concerned with the consistency i.e. it was a bit more fluid than the typical mud mask.  I kept it on for 10 minutes and like that in addition to being a purifying mask it is also an exfoliator.  This is a nice mask to add to any skin care routine. The one issue I had with this was the eucalyptus oil – my skin is a bit sensitive to this ingredient. This mask currently retails for $24.77 plus free shipping and can be purchased from Amazon. There is also a bonus Ebook that explains how to develop a weekly natural skin care routine to improve the way ones skin looks and feels.
