Makeup by One Direction Eye Crayon & Mascara review

20140804_003242-1 (1)The set comes with mascara that is described as a perfectly black volumizing mascara “Little Black Dress”. I must say I really like this mascara, its not too wet, does not smell nor clump. Although it doesn’t voluminous as some other mascaras on the market it is decent. I have been using this everyday for a bout a week.

The Pièce de Résistance of the collection [in my opinion] is the eye jumbo eye shadow crayon in Stand Up. It is a true navy/royal blue. The pigmentation is so rich, creamy and pigmented. This can be used as a eye shadow base and liner. These two products are my favorite out of the collection.

As an added bonus the collection comes with five stencils stencil set to create all the 1D doodles ones heart desires. Note these do not work with Stand Up, it is too soft and creamy hence please use a sharpie.

Review: Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara – Influenster Rose VoxBox

This is the last review from the 2013 RoseVoxBox. Rimmel makes a number of great and noteworthy products and they have recently added another mascara ‘Scandaleyes Retro Glam’. As expected this did not disappoint (well for the most part). It did give the bold wide-eyed look as claimed on the package but I found it to be a bit too wet.  In addition to this found that it would clump on occasion. Overall, I like this mascara it just needs a bit of work.
It is sold everywhere Walgreens, Riteaid, Walmart, Target etc. and retails for $5.99 – $6.99. Be sure to check the weekly drugstore circulars for sales and coupons.

Nordstrom – Lancome Haul + Awesome GWP

Mascara – Hypnose Drama in Excessive Black  ($27) and Juicy Tube- Berry Bold ($18)
This is may favorite high-end mascara next to Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill and I like their Juicy tubes my current one is almost finished so I decided to get another.

Now the GWP – I will only spend money on things I want if there is some incentive to spend my money. Nordstrom and Macy’s usually have great GWPs. I think Lancome has the best makeup bags, the quality is amazing and here it is filled with goodies I actually want and will use. See swatches of the mini shadow palette below.

The other shadows are nice, the black is not very pigmented and is very blotchy.

Rimmel London Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara – Intro & Initial Thoughts

How many ways can I say I LOVE Influenster???!!!!! I was selected (after filling out a survey) to receive the new almost on the store shelves RIMMEL LONDON LASH ACCELERATOR ENDLESS MASCARA.
Wow that’s a long name….I will now refer to it as RLLAEM.
  • Enhances lashes making them instantly longer and stronger.
  • Contains Grow-Lash Complex Procapil, Keratin and Antioxidants that conditions lashes.
  • After 30 days lashes will appear longer, stronger, and more (increase in numbers)
  • Brush separates and applies clump-free new micro-fibre formula.

So here is the initial sneak peek at the RLLAEM. I will post in about a week or two after testing it out. So far I really like RLLAEM and it doesn’t clump.

Review: Blinc Mascara

Got this twice in a past Birch Box. Sephora has one ‘Kiss Me’, that retails for $24, but the original at for $25. All in all this is an amazing mascara and if I didn’t already have so many I’d buy this and use it now.
It does not smudge, flake and only comes off when you take it off. I love it there is no inky pigment to deal with, it just glides right off with plain water 🙂 This tubing the lashes is not only a great concept but great technology.

Random EOTD

L’Oreal Voluminous mascara, NYX pencil in Iced Mocha, ELF Mocha Swirl, Body Shop #10, the Balm Luscious Lani. I forgot what liquid eyeliner I used and I used TFSI as the base.

January 2012 Favorites & NOTM

Here are my favorites for the month of January. I can’t believe the month is already over!!!!
Clockwise starting with the CVS makeup remover wipes (they smell amazing and are pretty effective, $4.99 for 25 wipes), LUSH Face Mask Sacred Truth, Coconut Body Cream $1 @ Dollar store, Aloe Amino Acid cleanser (review to come), MUFE eyebrow enhancer (I actually use it as a eyeliner; review to come, $19 Sephora), Stila Glamoreyes Mascara, Maybelline Falsies H2O) proof, Kate Spade’s Twirl, LUSH Face Mask Brazened Honey, Blistex nighttime lip therapy (Amazing!!!), Neosporin lip treatment (amazing!!).
So for 2012 I’m going to try something new regarding what nail polishes I wear throughout a given month. Instead of random one I’m going to wear a brand a month. For January I wore Sally Hansen. Overall I love the colors and had no problems with application or chipping.

MAC Imaginary Review & EOTD

MAC Imaginary Paint Pot
A whole lot of gorgeousness from one of MAC’s latest collections. It’s a royal blue frosted with purple, blue and red shimmer particles. It is a frost finish that glides on like butter and dries within a couple of seconds. One think I noticed with this paint pot is that when it dries, it does not budge. I actually fell asleep with the the swatch below and when I woke up it was still there. It did not move, rub off or fade. I thought that was amazing.

The EOTD: Benefit Stay Don’t Stray e/s primer, WnW purple cream liner, MAC Imaginary Paint Pot, Stila’s Illimani (above the crease) & Pewter (crease) e/s, Lancome’s Hypnose Drama & Maybelline’s Falsies mascaras.

NARS Haul – Sephora

Brace yourselves my friends for what has got to be one of the best deals of the month. Full size NARS eyeshadow singles for $8 from Sephora. I was browsing Sephora online Wednesday night and saw that NARS was having a sale on e/s for $8 (regular price $23)
Whenever I shop at Sephora I try to get as much bang for every buck I spend. I was proud of myself this time I only got the two shadows. So here’s what I got for $16.
L to R: Night Sun and California

Gorgeous, very pigmented, smooth and even though Night Sun has gold flecks there is no fallout and they do not seem chunky. Described on as a bright marigold with gold flecks. California is said to be like molten copper. I like these very much and I think these would be a great pair for Fall among the changing leaves.

I got the following samples includes a Thierry Mugler Womanity sample (shown in 1st pic):

Oh before I forget I also cashed in 500 beauty points for this Tarte collection:
I’ve been wanting this bronzer forever!!! it’s absolutely gorgeous 🙂
