Make Up Forever Aqua Cream #22 – Swatch/Review

Here is a glimpse of Make Up Forever’s Aqua Cream Emerald Green (no.22) . This ultra pigmented waterproof cream product can be used as either an eye shadow base or long-lasting stand alone shadow.  No 22 gives a gorgeous golden green sheen that is buildable,  lasts all day and can be applied with the fingertip or a synthetic brush.

Maybelline Limited Edition Fall 24hr Color Tattoos

I actually found all four at the same time on my second drugstore stop. After seeing these on Instgram (which I am now obsessed with) I stopped at two Walgreens and found them at the second one.
These are four limited edition color tattoos in the Maybelline Fall collection. I someone posted four more pastel spring like colors and said these were also apart of the collection but they are too bright for Fall in my opinion. Still I haven’t come across them but below are the ones I got. These are about 50cents more than the permanent tattoos.
#100 Barely Beige, #300 Gold Shimmer
#400 Rich Mahogany and #200 Mossy Green

Aren’t these gorgeous Rich Mahogny is a exact match for my eye lid color. Barely Beige is a slightly more shimmery version of MACs Painterly paint pot, Gold Shimmer is a much more deeper, richer, warmer gold compared to the permanent Bold Gold and Mossy Green is a very nice warm golden green.

EOTD: Pink & Grey

Giving some love to one of my favorite color combos: pink and grey

L’Oreal Infallible shadow in Sultry Smoke over
 Estee Lauder Smokey Twilight

Then from my Coastal Scents 88 Metal  palette a
light and dark pink to complete this awesome look.

Creamy Taupe Comparisons

Note: Images lost due to a Google bug will retake and repost swatches.
Looking through my stash I wondered how similar these three taupe shadows were to each other. These are the three taupe in pot shadows that I use on a regular basis.
Maybelline Bad to the Bronze, MUFE Aqua Cream #15, and Loreal Bronzed Taupe
In this shot they all look more or less the same

In these two latter pics the MUFE #15 has a bit more of a gold finish to it and the Bad to the Bronze a bit more frostier (I think).

Review & Swatches – Maybelline Color Tattoo

I finally succumbed to the craze and got two of the Maybelline Color Tattoo at a recent BOGO 1/2 off at Walgreens.  I got Painted Purple and Tough as Taupe.
PP is a very pretty purple although blotchy, it applies very smoothly and serves as a great base for matte purple shadows (it’s the only way to even out this cream shadow).
TT is awesome, I love this color, my only problem is that I wish my lids were the same tone as the back of my hand as TT comes off darker when applied to my lids. Other than that I’ve used this as a base and alone for most of the week. It’s great for those everyday work looks 🙂
I think I’ll get just two more since I have a coupon and when they are on sale.

Review & Swatches – NYX JUmbo Pencils

I didn’t realize that I had so many NYX Jumbo Pencils – 16 in all. I think I’ve used each at least once with Milk being the most used. However I’m not sure if I need these anymore, I’m going to try to use them on a daily basis by summer. If I fail I think I’ll pass them on to someone or maybe I’ll have a blog sale.

Review: MAC VIntage Coin Metal-X Shadow

This is my second Metal X Cream Shadow. I’ve been lemming Vintage Coin for the longest but somehow it’s always sold out online at MAC and then by chance one day it wasn’t and I snatched it. I’ve previously swatched and reviewed Venetian Tarnish. Metal-X cream shadows are $20 for 2.4g/0.08 oz.
It came with a few minor cracks but this can be smoothened with your finger. As with most cream products it’s best applied with the fingers. It is very pigmented, soft and blends well.
I love this metallic olive green shadow, it’s great alone and this serves as an amazing base for Lancome’s Designer and L’Oreal Infallible Golden Sage.

Favorite Product of 2011

And the winner is……. the Cream EyeShadow

Before fall I only had two small pots and by the end of the year, well see below. I absolutely love them, I never really gotten the hype but after trying a couple different ones I am a believer. They can be used as bases for other shadows – both cream and powder, alone, or as eyeliner. I honestly have enough and will purchase one or two here or there, e.g. I won’t buy all of the new Maybelline cream shadows (I only like one) or every single aqua cream or paint pot. Honorable mention should be given to NYX eye pencils

Benefit: Flash, RSVP, Starstruck (Smashbox)
Airbrush, Static, Foiled, Birthday Suit
I got these mini versions as part of sets I bought at Sephora.
