“Created for the woman who believes in the promising hope of new love, Tender Romance celebrates the sweet and gentle moments of falling in love for the first time. Tender Romance is the first white, luminous oriental scent – a delicate caress of pure white magnolia and silky soft cashmere. This enchanting scent captures the story of an intimate, unforgettable moment.” Description is courtesy of Sephora.com
“Tender Romance evokes both the sweetness and innocence of falling in love for the first time.”—Ralph Lauren
My Thoughts: This is a very pleasant fragrance (EDT). It is perfect for a cool but gloomy rainy day. This is cozy sweater scent. The enchanting warmth comes from the cashmere and musk. The musk is just right in Tender Romance. As far as I can tell this fragrance is only available at Sephora. It retails for $54 (1 oz), $76 (1.7 oz) and $96 (3.4 oz).

October’s pouch has a few masks that I am excited to try: the Mediheal Dress Code Black and Elizavecca Milky Piggy 24K Gold Waterdew Snail Mask Pack. I am most intrigued by the Bio’MAIN Cordyseps Sinensis Sleeping Pack.
Quite a few of the August MaskGenie pouches were delayed by a couple months, returned to MaskGenie or lost but I am so happy that I finally received mine. I am really excited to try the 3 snail, the DonkeySteam Cream and Horse Oil masks!!!
Last month Mask Genie curated a Special Edition ‘Birthday Surprise; pouch to celebrate her little girl’s first birthday. I few of these I have used before (#s 1 and 10). I am most excited to try the Seartree Snail (#6) and Primera Peeling (#7) masks.

The theme for Beauteque’s August Mask Maven bag is Troubled Skin: Acne & Pores. This month’s bag was curated to address the various issues that result in problem skin. Sheet masks are known to be one of the best options to tackle these such as oily skin, acne, large pore, blemishes and the hyper-pigmentation and scarring that often results. I am quite please with this month’s bag and that the masks were not just randomly chosen but selected to address specific skincare concerns.

In addition to the MaskGenie(Hong Kong) monthly mask subscription service, I decided to give the US based Beauteque online store that specializes in a wide variety of Asian beauty and skincare products. I signed up for the Beauteque Monthly Mask Maven subscription service. They have a variety of plans ranging from monthly, 3, 6 or 12 months (automatic billing each month). On the month-to month plan that I signed up for it costs $15 plus a flat shipping rate of $3.95, with the option to cancel at anytime. Each month a bag will be curated to contain 9-11 masks (face sheet, hand and feet, hair, wash off masks). I am not sure if I really like this service yet and will give it a try for another month or two.
I am mot excited to try the Tony Moly I’m Real Tea Tree Skin Soothing Sheet Mask. This particular mask is now carried by Sephora for #.50/mask but I have seen it for $1.99 on other Asian beauty sites, but they are always SOLD OUT!!!!!! I ave tried the Mediheal Black Eye msk before and really like it so I was happy to get another one. Also I can’t wait to try the SNP Beijing Opera Brightening Mask (everyone talks about these).
I am happy that I have found another mask subscription service as I love masks!!!!!!!

Earlier this year MaskGenie released a second limited edition pouch comprised of a variety of masks (10 in total) from the Taiwanese brand LoveMore. This pouch retailed for $26.50 and has been restocked at least once. The cotton pouch was beautiful and reusable.
Top row: Bamboo Liquid Moisturizing, Red Pearl Barley Whitening, Bitter Gourd Purifying, Wild Yam Firming Middle row: Wine Yeast Whitening and Rose Hybrida Whitening Bottom row: Black Pearl True White, Rhondiola Antioxidant & Brightening, Yurong Scattered Amazing White and Cubilose Extract Hydrating & Firming Masks.
As almost all the information on 95% of the masks are in a foreign language MaskGenie post monthly unpouchings where she gives an overview of the masks, provides tips on use and background information on the companies etc., of each mask. Here is the link/video to MaskGenie’s Oriental LoveMore Unpouching:
I may have found the best subscription program to date. I was scrolling through Instagram on day and came acrossMaskGenie. If you love, no are obsessed with sheet masks then you will love this monthly program.
The rundown – a monthly face mask subscription program based in Hong Kong. There is no membership/registration for this service. It is pay as go – each month you purchase that month’s pouch – meaning no auto billing as with other beauty subscription programs. Announcements on when pouches are available are made via MaskGenie’sInstagram andFacebookaccounts. The owner Genie also does ‘Unpouchings’ and other reviews on her YouTube channel. She gives an overview of each masks, her experience (if she’s used it before), as well as tips. Another aspect of this service that I like is that she uses and provides indepth reviews the masks too. Not necessarily all the one featured each month but those that may have been previously included or to be in future
You can opt to receive either a 10 mask or 5 mask pouch for $22 or $12 respectively. Payment is via PayPal which I love and the price includes international shipping, which is always a plus. Once in awhile MaskGenie curates limited edition – themed pouches of varying prices that are quite popular and sell out quickly. Recently MaskGenie has added Weekend Pouches that go for $17 for 6-10 masks and are only available on the weekends.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with this subcription service and as a huge fan of face masks of all types especialy sheet masks I will be sticking with this one for the forseeable future. I have used a few of these so far and will be posting individual reviews.
