Ghassoul Clay (GC)is a natural mineral clay mined in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco as early as the eighth century. GC contains silica, iron, magnesium, potassium, sodium, lithium, and trace elements (essential for the proper growth, development, and physiology of an organism). It has been used by Moroccan women for centuries for skin and hair care needs. This mask retails for $19.99 for 8 oz and is made with No mineral oils or parabens and is not tested on animals.
Benefits of GC:
=> Softens the skin
=> Reduces sebum (oil) secretion
=> Regeneratesthe skin by removing dead cells
=> Rebalances the skin by tightening pores.
=> Prevents dandruff and rebalancing of the scalp.
Face and body mask – mix 1 tablespoon of GC with 5 tablespoons of water to the consitency of thin batter; apply to face or body until dry (10-15 minutes); rinse with lukewarm water.
Hair mask – prepare a 1:5 mixture; rub gently into scalp and hair; leave for 5-10 minutes; shampoo with favorite shampoo and rinse.
Deep Cleaning Shampoo – add shampoo to palm; add equal amount of GC; rub together and shampoo hair; rinse.
My thoughts: I like this clay mask and I leave it on for about 20 – 30 minutes. After 20 minutes I can see the sections of my face where oil is produced and the size of my pores producing hte oil. My pores are HUGE!!! and I don’t just have the typical T-zone of oil. My entire face is oily except for my jaw. The largest pores are on my forehead, highest points of my cheeks, chin and nose. I am happy to have it as a part of my beauty routine.
